SOIL COMPOSITION, CHAMPAGNE FRESNE DUCRET’S FINEST ASSET
The vineyards of Champagne Fresne Ducret reflect several centuries of
history. The composition of the subsoil is a veritable palette, where
each stratum represents a bygone era. From parcel to parcel, proportions
of chalk, sand and clay vary, and have a significant influence on the
vines that grow on the parcels and on the grapes that grow on the vines.
From 2016, Pierre began to have in-depth soil analysis carried out,
which allows him to adapt his methods to specific soil types and thus
improve the quality of the soil.
